About NIT
NIT is legally registered company under the laws of Government of Nepal. To provide Internationally Acclaimed Quality Education through Distance Mode of Education, NIT has joined hands with the World’s largest Open University – IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University) in the year 2007-8.
NIT – Partner Institution of IGNOU , is located at DAV Complex, Jawalakhel of Lalitpur district. It has a well facilitated modern academic environment with computer laboratory and library, qualified well-experienced Lecturers and Professors along with “Student Support Section” for information, guidance and counselling. NIT is the IGNOU's partner institution (PI-9604) in Nepal launching the distance mode of education through the open-university courses in a real sense.
NIT provides quality education in Distance Mode. Through NIT we offer different programmes from Management to Humanities, Sociology to Rural development, and from Human Rights to Disaster Management. Distance Education is the best mode for those who are working professionals. Keeping that in mind, we strictly follow the module of Distance Education that helps the learner to maintain their job, family and other social obligations in a fast-paced life.

Infrastructure
NIT PI-9604— IGNOU’s international study centre launched in Nepal since 2008— offers a State-of-the-Art learning environment. Modern computer laboratory, library and documentation centre as well as a well equipped audiovisual centre have been developed to fulfil the candidates’ academic needs. At NIT , one can learn under the supervision of qualified and experienced professors and lecturers as counsellors associated with leading universities. Its Student Support Section provides required guidance and support to the candidates in their academic pursuit.
